A very nice repro of a Meusoc IMO. The tennifer finish is immaculate. An excellent modern touch that still has the retro style. The flared magwell is a nice touch. Love the checkered front strap and matching main spring housing. The sights are super functional. Safety is very positive. Recoil spring feels like 16#. I'll probably swap in a 18" Wilson later. The grips feel great, but I think I'll swap in some plain black checkered ones as the MAC billboard on these kinda stands out. I served in the 70s thru the 90s and never liked the new 9mm. For guys my age, this is one of the best iterations of the 1911. Range trip in the morning! I looked at a new Springfield package 1911. They are $50 more, but come with extra mags. A fair deal. But this has some history to it and the checkered front strap and brass bead site and flared mag well sold me on it. This is my third Tisas 1911. All have been great values and very functional.
