What Is the OA Defense 2311?

The 2011 is a double-stack evolution of the 1911 design. It keeps the single-action trigger, grip angle and thumb safety, but uses a wider grip and a double-stack magazine for more capacity. The "2011" name was popularized by STI, now Staccato, for its double-stack 1911-pattern pistols. The OA 2311 is OA Defense’s own double-stack 1911-pattern design. It uses a 7075 aluminum frame, a modular grip module, a 7075 aluminum magwell and OA Defense’s G2 hammer and sear. OA Defense lists a 3.5 to 4 lb trigger pull and a 1:10 barrel twist on every model.

Why Choose a 2311 Over a Standard 1911?

The traditional 1911 is a single-stack design holding 7 to 10 rounds depending on caliber and configuration. The 2311’s double-stack magazines raise that to 15, 17 or 21 rounds in 9mm, while keeping the 1911’s single-action trigger feel and ergonomics.
