Inland ILM
The ILM suppressor line is Inland Manufacturing’s family of American-made suppressors covering rimfire, pistol, and rifle applications. Built in Dayton, Ohio using I-Core monocore technology for user-serviceable cleaning, ILM suppressors bring Inland’s WWII heritage brand into the modern suppressor market with lightweight, straightforward designs at accessible price points. The lineup covers .22 LR through .30 caliber centerfire in three purpose-built models.

Full ILM Lineup
ILM AM-22 (Rimfire & Small Bore): The AM-22 is a lightweight rimfire and small-bore suppressor covering .22 LR, .22 WMR, .17 HMR, and 5.7×28mm in a hard-anodized 6061 aluminum body with stainless steel base and baffles. At 4.6 oz and just under 1 inch in diameter, it is one of the lightest suppressors in its class. The I-Core monocore baffle system disassembles for cleaning — critical for rimfire use where fouling accumulates quickly. Thread: 1/2×28 TPI. Length: 5.5–5.75 inches. The AM-22’s 5.7×28mm rating also makes it compatible with the Ruger-57 and FN Five-seveN for buyers who want a single lightweight can covering both rimfire and 5.7 hosts.
ILM 30 Cal DT (Rifle): The 30 Cal DT is a direct-thread .30 caliber rifle suppressor for standard rifle calibers including .308 Win, .30-06, .300 BLK, and similar. At 8.5 inches with a 5/8×24 thread pitch, it covers the most common .30 caliber rifle thread pitches without an adapter. Black finish. Stainless steel baffle construction for full-power rifle caliber durability.
ILM 9mm: A dedicated 9mm pistol suppressor for threaded-barrel handguns and 9mm PCCs. 1/2×28 thread pitch. Monocore construction for easy maintenance.
I-Core Monocore Technology
All ILM suppressors use Inland’s I-Core monocore baffle design — a single removable baffle element that unscrews from the suppressor body for cleaning rather than requiring individual baffle removal. For rimfire users especially, this is a meaningful practical advantage: .22 LR and .17 HMR ammunition produces heavy fouling that degrades sound reduction over time if not cleaned, and the I-Core makes cleaning a straightforward process rather than a time-consuming disassembly. The monocore design also reduces parts count and potential failure points compared to multi-baffle stacks.
ILM vs Inland Model 1910: Choosing Your Inland Suppressor
ILM and the Inland Model 1910 serve different buyer profiles within the Inland lineup. The Model 1910 is a heritage piece — period-correct Maxim silencer styling for historical builds, particularly the M1 Carbine. The ILM suppressors are modern, lightweight, practical tools without historical styling. For buyers who want a suppressor that matches the aesthetic of a WWII-era Inland M1 Carbine, the Model 1910 is the correct choice. For buyers who want maximum performance in a lightweight modern package for rimfire, pistol, or rifle use, the ILM line is the better fit.
AM-22 for 5.7x28mm: An Underrated Pairing
The AM-22’s 5.7×28mm rating makes it one of the few suppressors specifically designed for this caliber rather than adapted from a standard rimfire or pistol can. The 5.7×28mm cartridge operates at higher pressure than most rimfire calibers but at a smaller bore diameter than 9mm, and the AM-22’s geometry handles it natively. For Ruger-57 owners who want a suppressor optimized for their host rather than a compromise, the AM-22 is worth considering alongside dedicated 5.7 suppressors like the Gemtech Nebula.
