Gemtech Nebula
The Gemtech Nebula is a 2026 suppressor purpose-built for the 5.7×28mm cartridge — one of the first suppressors designed specifically around this caliber rather than adapted from a rimfire or pistol can. It uses a 3D-printed 6Al4V titanium core with a 17-4PH stainless steel blast baffle, weighs just 9 oz, and measures 1.2 inches in diameter — slim enough to mount on PDW and pistol hosts without dramatically changing the handling profile. Why a Dedicated 5.7x28mm Suppressor?
The 5.7×28mm cartridge has unique suppressor requirements. It operates at higher chamber pressure than most rimfire cartridges but at a smaller bore diameter than 9mm, and its velocity profile makes standard pistol suppressors a compromise. The Nebula’s baffle geometry and 1.2-inch diameter are optimized for the 5.7’s bore and gas volume. The result is better sound reduction and a slimmer profile than running a 9mm suppressor on a 5.7 host with an adapter. For owners of the Ruger-57, Kel-Tec P50, or FN Five-seveN, the Nebula is the first suppressor built for their specific host.

Nebula on Rimfire Hosts: .22 LR, .17 HMR, .22 WMR
The Nebula’s 1/2×28 direct thread mount and 1.2-inch diameter make it an excellent rimfire suppressor as well. On a .22 LR host, the Nebula delivers meaningful sound reduction with a slim profile that doesn’t unbalance lightweight rimfire rifles. The 17-4PH stainless steel blast baffle handles the sustained fire that rimfire suppressors see during training sessions. The Plan B HUB mount compatibility allows quick attachment to any host with a compatible muzzle device, making it easy to move the Nebula between a 5.7 pistol and a .22 LR rifle without tools.
Gemtech Nebula vs Standard Rimfire Suppressors
The Nebula is purpose-designed for 5.7×28mm first, with rimfire compatibility as a secondary benefit. Dedicated rimfire suppressors like the Gemtech GM-22 and SilencerCo Sparrow are optimized purely for rimfire and are typically lighter and shorter. If 5.7×28mm is not a caliber you shoot, a dedicated rimfire suppressor may be a better fit. If you own a 5.7 pistol or PDW and also want rimfire coverage, the Nebula handles both without compromise.
