The H&R Retro M16A1 is a semi-automatic AR-15 rifle in 5.56 NATO, styled after the Vietnam-era M16A1. Its 20" pencil-profile barrel is 4150 chrome moly vanadium steel with a chrome-lined bore and a parkerized finish. A 1:7 twist stabilizes a wide range of bullet weights, and the barrel runs a rifle-length gas system under a rifle-height front sight base. An A1-style muzzle device sits on 1/2x28 threads. The forged 7075-T6 upper is an M16A1 pattern without feed ramps, covered by M16A1 triangular handguards with heat shields. The forged lower carries the H&R retro trigger group, A1-style furniture and a flat retro trigger guard. Inside is a Carpenter 158 steel bolt in a full-auto profile carrier, and the rifle comes with a 30-round magazine.
