Glock 23 40S&W, 4.01" Barrel, Fixed Sights, 2 Magazines, 13rd

This is my issued weapon at work. I like it ok, but it is the only gun I've ever fired that gets my middle knuckle when I fire more than a few rounds (like at range quals). I'm told they issued this over the G22 due to the number of females on my job. Don't know, but I would rather have the larger grip in a duty weapon. For concealed carry,this is excellent,however.

The Glock line of pistols seem to be in direct competition with several other polymer pistols. These all have their advantages, and I believe the Glock's is their aftermarket. Extra, alternate and BTO parts are everywhere, and best of all, they're cheap. Magazines, Nightsights, grips, lasers, lights, holsters; everything is affordable and prevalent. A lot of interchangeable parts. The thing that I like the most is being able to change the weight of the trigger pull with just a new trigger connector. Go from a 5 pound stock trigger to a 3.5 pound pull with just a piece and some chump change. Extended mag and slide releases are stocking stuffers instead of $50 pieces. New barrels and threading/porting is also comparable cheap and easy to find for the Glock models as well, and the fact that they're everywhere means you'll never have trouble finding what you need. Go fourth gen however, or you'll need some grip tape.

Glock truly lives up to the ad Glock Perfection! The G23 is,in my opinion one of Gaston Glock's best ! I have used and carried this fine firearm both on and off duty. It has always functioned flawlessly, it digests any ammo I feed it and never ever fails to fire. There is nothing more confidence building than knowing that every time the trigger is pulled the pistol goes boom! The fit and finish is great. The tennifer coated slide makes this weapon impervious to the elements. I know first hand because I had three of Glocks finest go under in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. They sat underwater for three weeks and sat in the damp home until I retrieved them three weeks subsequent to that. After the necessary cleaning the weapons worked fine with hardly a blemish on the slide. The no tools needed ease of field stripping makes the G23 and all Glocks for that matter a dream come true. Dependability, accuracy and ease of operation makes the Glock a jewel. Oh and by the way, much less expensive than other fine weapons! PERFECT!!

I trust and owe this weapon my life. It has never failed me. People say Glock's are ugly, they say its a mid class handgun. The fact is I have put over 3 thousand rounds through mine and never had so much a jam. I have never had to replace any parts. I take good care my Glock and in return it does the same for me. They are very easy to clean. There is little or no learning curve. My wife even loves to shoot it. I have fired mine personally well over 250m and hit the 15in target 8 out of 13 times. For only trying this a couple of times it isn't bad. They gun just does what it is made to do. I would not carry a different weapon on me. I carry mine concealed everyday. The Glock 23 has the fire power matched with a smaller frame then the full duty size. It is a beast. I would not want to be on the receiving end of this gun. What is ever better is that its fun to shoot. I can carry it then go have fun with it. Not many handguns are like that

After using the G23 both on and off duty as a police officer, I find it to be as advertised, Glock Perfection! Its compactness and light weight make it fantastic for concealed carry. The magazine capacity of 13 rounds + 1 gives it great volume of fire. The G23 has really fine point and fire capabilities the grips angle makes it a natural pointer. The accessory rail adds the ability for adding lights, lasers or combination of both giving it great low/no light functionality. It is very very easily field stripped and the option of changing the weapons caliber by just replacing the barrel to .357 Sig makes it all the more attractive. Two pistols in one 40 S&W or 357 Sig. The finish is amazingly durable. The Tenifer finish on the slide is strong. I know first hand for I had two submerged in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina and after cleaning and oiling them they worked without a hitch!! Kudos to Gaston Glock for a sturdy and dependable design. Glocks work first time and all the time. EVERY click of the trigger results in a boom ! And if the operator can aim he will hit his target. Accuracy, dependability and ease of operation, what else would you need from a handgun. Oh, by the way, they are very affordable. Compared to other brands of handgun with the G23's level of performance, they are down right cheap !

i use this gun as my off duty weapon, the maintenance is awesome very easy to maintain it kicks a little more then fully metal guns but i caught on very quickly i have very tiny hands and even smaller wrists the handle of this gun is great for us females i will give this gun a 90 and i believe the Glock 23 40 cal. is a awesome gun for females who want a large cal. firearm

I've owned several of these Glocks. They are one of the best guns that I have shot, they don't jam, they hit good. Had no problems whatsoever with it. My friend has a new xdm 40 cal. We shot and compared them. I like the features of the xdm. maybe I'll get one for christmas

It was my first handgun. After adding a Taurus .45, a Rock Island .45, and a Taurus .380, all of which i like, it is still my Glock 23 that gets most of my attention. Small hands were solved with a Robar front and back strap reduction. It is easy to carry, to learn how to shoot, clean, and understand, and durable. This gun grows on you and you begin to understand all of the things that can be done to a Glock to make it jump from an excellent and durable gun to an incredible weapon. OUTSTANDING BUY!!!

Perfect medium sized handgun still as affective and reliable as the full size glocks.. I have owned one for years and have 0 complaints or problems. Very affordable and very reliable..
