The Pioneer Arms POL-AK-S-FT-P Sporter delivers AKM-pattern authenticity in a semi-automatic rifle chambered in 7.62x39mm. The foundation of the Sporter is a stamped receiver paired with a forged front trunnion — a construction approach that keeps the classic AK profile while adding dimensional consistency and durability at the barrel-to-receiver junction. The 16.3" barrel is cut with a 4-groove bore and a 1/9.450" right-hand twist, and is threaded at 14x1LH for use with a wide range of AK-pattern muzzle devices.
An enhanced safety selector retains the AK's familiar lever layout while offering improved function over surplus designs. The side-mounted optics rail built into the receiver accepts standard AK side-mount optics, scope mounts, and rail adapters without any permanent modification to the firearm.
The black polymer furniture follows Russian Pattern AK dimensions, making handguard, pistol grip, and stock replacements straightforward with standard aftermarket AK components. The Sporter ships with one 30-round magazine.
