Sports South Exclusive. These commemorative 1911 pistols by Auto-Ordnance are designed to honor the 250th Anniversary of the founding of the Army on June 14,1775. They serve as a tribute to the many men and women who have served over its two and a half centuries of history. This commemorative piece is based on the classic Auto-OrdnanceM1911A1 Government Issue profile and chambered in .45 ACP. It features custom laser-engraved wood grips; the upper slide is coated in OD Green Cerakote and the lower frame in Coyote Tan Cerakote. The pistol's controls, safety, slide stop and magazine release, are finished in a contrasting Black Oxide. The slide has detailed commemorative engravings. On the right side "United States of America" is engraved, centered under the ejection port, surrounded by a single star on both sides. Towards the front of the right slide, a "250 Anniversary banner" is engraved and distinctively painted in FX Gold Cerakote. The left side of the slide features bold "ARMY" lettering. On the top of the slide is a CNC design depicting the layout of the US Army dress uniform. This design is accented with Black Cerakote lines and FX Gold Cerakote buttons. The right grip panel depicts a colonial soldier while the left grip panel showcases a modern-day soldier representing the Army's continued service and evolution. Includes one magazine.
