    Got it from the FFL this morning. First off, thanks to Impact for shipping it quickly. Secondly, I haven't shot it yet, but I have done a detailed inspection clean and lube in prep for the first range trip. Overall, very positively impressed! Fit & finish are excellent. Barrel well fitted to the slide, bushing well fitted too. Trigger is crisp and breaks right at 5# for a perfect GI feel. Safety is well fitted, but the spring pressure for the detent is loose. Not crisp and positive as it needs to be. That is a minor nit to pick. I dropped in a Wilson detent spring and now it is very positive! Thumb safety was well fitted with no overtravel on the downstroke of it. With the better spring, it is GTG! No other nits to pick. Fit, finish, machine work all very impressive. Love the lightness of the alloy frame compared to an all-steel Commander sized. This will indeed make an excellent carry 1911! The slide is heavily sprung and feels like I'll need to break it in with 124 or 134 ball ammo. That's fine. I have plenty on hand. I even reload for the 134. This is my 8th Tisas this year. Very impressed by their build quality! I'm predicting it'll run great at this point. I have some decades of experience with 1911s. I'll know for sure in a few days and will post a follow-up. This model seems particularly well done. Looking forward to the first hundred rounds thru it!
