I have had this LR for 1 year tomrrow and I have fired successfully over 13,000 Remington 22LR 40 grain . I have had not a single jam yet , the clip on the other hand is sketchy a bit , it has a Chinese spring

I have this weapon system and I can tell you that it is a straight shooting weapon. I would buy it again. As for home defense, any weapon system will work with well placed shots. Buy it if you have the chance.

I don't see how the clip issue is worth taking off a star. I had same issue with new clips for my real AR-15 but just like the clip for this one it was solved with filling the clip and letting it sit over night.

I used some CLS to lube the internal parts including some in the barrel/chamber. ALWAYS disassemble any new/used sidearm or long arm and clean/lube it before firing.

Hits target at 100m +- 5m with slight wind. You just have to compensate for wind more than you would a 556 or 762.

Any 22lr 40 grain ammo works in this. I fired several types of cheap ammo and no issues. For those having ftf and jamming issues remember that you can't put any pressure against the clip. You'll have the same ftf/jam issue that you would with a real ar-15.

For those having issues with sight adjustments please google, "how to adjust sight."

a great long rifle. Shot straight and true right out of the box. Intended for varmint hunting. I added accessories and at first glance the gun looks like a AR-15 style rifle.

    I would recommend

This was my first gun and I thought the mag only held about 11 rounds but u have to mess with the spring on the clip to get the full 25 loaded using the provided loader helps to. I would recommend this gun its affordable and fun to shoot. So far I had the gun a week put about 4,000 rounds threw it without a misfire or a jam

Not a bad rifle for the price. Use only plated ammo and I had no jams. The mag/clip sucks, only holds 11 rounds (bummer). I cleaned it up and took it to the range. Found out couldn't hit crap. At 10 yards it was shooting to the left about 5 in.Even moving the rear sights over all the way it still shot 3-4 in. That sucks. So I took the open sights off and installed a bsa reticle sight around $40. Great for plinking around for young and old. Bought some clips for regular Mossberg auto (only hold 10 rounds). Don't look so bad ass but works just fine with it. would I buy another? YES now knowing what I know about it. No regrets. Les

Just bought this gun today, put 300 rounds thru it with no problems. Very accurate and fun. My magazine was fine, not loose at all, if anything it was very tight. So far so good. Love it.

I bought a Mossberg 715t last week and put 1000 rounds through it over the weekend without one jam. It is a blast to shoot.

Yes it is plastic and the magazine wiggles a little etc. but, for the price, you can't get a funner gun!

ok just dont under stand why anyone would use a tac rifle as home defense unless your trained in close combat. to the people that think a 22LR is dumb for home defense need to go do some research. unlike bigger calibers that might go right through you with some tearing a 22 will penetrate and then act like a bouncy ball inside the intruder and hit more then 1 organ. if your looking for a good reliable home defense weapon i would recommend the sig 1911-22 pistol. i trust my life and my family's with a 22 caliber

The Mossberg AR-15T 22LR worked great out of the box. The magazine definitely needs attention by Mossberg. I found that loading with the easy loader they send with the gun works a lot better than by hand, it stacks the rounds correctly and compresses the spring, all in all if the spring in the magazine is its only problem ill give it a 4 out of 5. It may not be your choice for a home defense weapon, but hey as far as im concerned a well placed shoot is what counts.

I recently bought this weapon at a sports store. Being a retired servicemember? your?e taught to always inspect and thouroghly familiarize yourself with it. The first step is to conduct a weapons check to make sure everything is working as it should. Next is to lube and prepare your weapon for firing. Before firing prepare your clip by lubing it also, as manufactures don?t do this. When loading your clip with ammo be sure the ammo lines up as you load, the clip ammo clearance is very tight so don?t get pissed. Next is to set your sights at zero and adjust after firing 3 rnds at a 25meter target. Once you?ve done those things you?ll be ok? I fired 200 rnds at the range without a glitch. When I got home.. I cleaned and relubed everything? Oh.. one last thing? only buy ammo that has been coated with copper? raw lead rounds will ruin the bore and contribute to mis-fires. I Hope this helps.

First off, who buys a .22LR AR for home defense? Did you do any research prior to buying this or do you play enough video games to be a weapons expert? Secondly, my friend currently owns this gun, and I have shot more rounds through it than I care to count. It is reliable, shoots well, and has decent ergonomics. The mags tend to be a bit of an issue, but if you know how to clean the inside of your mags, and stretch the springs out a little, the problem is easily resolved. Overall fun gun for squirrels and rabbits. For this price it's a fun plinker and you won't be disappointed. Unless you plan on stopping an armed burglar with a .22 AR.

You must clean the packing grease off first before firing this or any other brand new firearm you purchase. It will cause jamming if you do not do so.

The first review left a scathing review.
Too bad...a simple internet search (I'm amazed at people who can figure out how to leave a review, but can't look up product reviews) would have shown that the Mossberg 25 round magazines can be an issue.
My first one was. 9 FTF on the first try.
Did a SIMPLE WEBSEARCH and found the issue was likely the mag. Exchanged it the next day at my dealer, purchased a 2nd one (just in case) and headed back to the range.
Now have over 2000 rounds through the gun with no major failures...maybe 4 or 5 FTF total...the simple kind where all I have to do is recharge the gun and away we go.
I'd recommend this gun 100% and only gave it a 4 out of 5 because Mossberg really should deal with the magazine issue.
