Two noticeable flaws; both easy to fix
I own a dozen firearms, including two that cost over $700, but I still keep this Hi-Point 9mm carbine by my bed. It is a tad bulky and the grip texture is subpar, but the only two important cons are: (1) a very heavy and gritty trigger; and (2) the magazine sits up in the mag well and can pinch your palm on fast reloads. Good news is M-CARBO sells a replacement trigger spring, which coupled with a good cleaning and polishing, will give you a pretty good trigger. And the 20-rd mags fix the mag well problem. The three things that really impressed me about this is that I have never had a jam (no malfunctions once so ever with any ammo), it has a ton of rail space, and there is a recoil absorbing buttplate (my Remington 1100 competition series cost 4x as much as this carbine and it is the only other gun I own with a recoil absorber on the stock). I had the opportunity to shoot a Kel-Tec Sub 2000, Kel-Tec CMR 30, Ruger PC9 carbine, and an AK pistol recently, and none of those are any better than this gun (yet they cost a lot). Save your money for some nice accessories (I have a SIG Romeo 5 red dot, a flashlight, and a short bipod on mine).

Superb product
I took my new carbine to the range today.I can honestly say I was astounded with this carbine. Right out of the box it was shooting 3" high at 25 yards. One adjustment and it was zeroed in at 25 yards. Shot at 25 and 50 yards with the open sights it came with which I must say are superb held 2" groups at both distances. Shot 100 rounds no malfunctions. If I had had a scope O believe the group's would be less than an inch. I am impressed to no end with this carbine especially for the cost. I would recommend to everyone.

Great gun
I bought this gun about 3 weeks ago and could not be happier with my purchase! I have put about 250 rounds through so far and not a single problem yet. Ready to shoot right out of the box. No need to adjust anything well made gun. The best part MADE IN AMERICA folks come on let's give them our support. Great buy!!!

most accurate carbine out of the box
Just picked up my 9mm Hi-Point on Friday the 13th and could not wait to run some rounds through her.My Son and I went out back on the property and set up some cans at about fifty feet, first shot was a hit and most of the rest of the clip scored as well. I see no need to adjust the sight as it is dialed in right out of the box. This carbine is to be our ranch gun and it seems to be very well built. Only time will tell how many years we will get out of it, great gun, great price and great quality. Don

Fun To Shoot, Great Gun
I bought this gun for myself for Christmas and have taken it to the range twice. I can't believe how accurate this gun is straight from the box. Two inch groups at 25 yards and that is from a standing position. Hit the berm 100 yards out just where I was aiming. My new favorite gun to shoot. I may put a red dot scope on it mostly because I want to dress it up I like it so much.

great little carbine
i have two of these little carbines, they are tough as all get out ..one i switched to the Beretta look alike ATI stock..it is too pretty to carry around , so i bought another one with the old style , pre TS stock...it is without a doubt in the top 5 of the ugliest guns i have ever see ...but i carry it on my four wheeler and generally just bang it around , like you should be able to do any gun, these little guns are undervalued ...i really like them and will probably buy a third...as far as Hi-Points service ..par excellence...if you can get someone on the phone , they will fix the gun or send you replacement parts for ever , even if you are not the original owner AAA+++ rating for the company..made in U.S.A. and sold in the U.S.A.,and serviced in the U.S.A.... how can you go wrong

VERY IMPRESSED - Model 995TS
American made, high quality, guaranteed for life and realistically priced. Who offers a better product? 500 rounds of Russian steel later and no jams. 3 inch groups at 50 yards with iron sights: it shoots better than my eyes can see. Lots of fun shooting. If you want a pistol caliber carbine, buy a Hi-Point, you'll be happy and have money left over for lots of ammo.
