    Tauras Judge 45/410 My Favorite.

I have owned this model Taurus Judge for 2 years and enjoy it the most of all my handguns. I find myself grabing it every time I go to the range or the field( It is my hiking carry gun). With .45 Colt reloads it's accuracy and ease of getting on target is above my expectations. It performs well with .410 ammo for a gun of this type but do not expect it to perform like a .410 long barrelled shotgun. Winchester AA .410 ammo works best in my gun.

First thing I noticed shooting this revolver was it was not as much a handfull as I had imagined. I beleive a lot of the recall is asorbed by the rubber hand grip. The Judge is not a target gun but I found with a little practice 4" groups at 25 yards were attainable, this with the 45 Colt loads. Most folks do not buy this gun to shoot 45 Colt but rather the 410 shot shell. The gun I have uses the 2.5 inch shell. Again the recoil is manageable, though it takes some getting use too. I shot the new Winchester PX1 self-defense ammo and it was impressive. This is a short range weapon that is idea for Home defense.
