AK-47 Parts
AK-47 platform parts and accessories cover everything from furniture upgrades that improve ergonomics to trigger replacements that improve the AK’s sometimes heavy factory pull, to magazines and accessories that expand the platform’s capability. The AK platform is less modular than the AR-15 but has a strong aftermarket for the most commonly upgraded components. Impact Guns carries AK furniture, triggers, magazines, and accessories for WASR-10, Zastava, and other popular AK-pattern rifles.

AK Furniture: Stocks, Grips, and Handguards
AK furniture refers to the stock, pistol grip, and handguard set—the wood or polymer components that make up the rifle’s ergonomic interface. Factory AK furniture is functional but many shooters prefer aftermarket options for improved ergonomics or aesthetics. Magpul produces the MOE AK furniture set with compatible pistol grips, handguards, and fixed or folding stocks designed for AK-pattern rifles. Zhukov-S folding stocks from Magpul add a side-folding stock with adjustable length of pull. For shooters who want to retain traditional AK aesthetics, Tapco and similar manufacturers offer drop-in replacement furniture that improves grip texture and ergonomics over original wood furniture.
AK Triggers: Improving the Factory Pull
Factory AK triggers are often heavy and somewhat rough compared to comparable AR-15 triggers. The AK trigger group is simpler than the AR-15 fire control group and has fewer aftermarket options, but quality replacements from ALG Defense (AKT) and Geissele (SSA-AK) provide meaningfully improved pulls. The ALG AKT is the most common AK trigger upgrade—it uses enhanced engagement surfaces and better springs to improve the factory pull without radical changes to the mechanism. For competition or precision AK use where trigger quality matters, an ALG or Geissele trigger is worth considering. See also: Triggers.
AK Magazines
AK-47 pattern magazines in 7.62x39mm are available from numerous manufacturers. Bulgarian Circle 10 polymer magazines are widely regarded as some of the most reliable available. Magpul PMAG AK/AKM magazines provide polymer construction with the Magpul quality standard. US Palm magazines are a popular American-made option. Steel surplus magazines from Eastern European sources remain reliable and cost-effective for range use. For AK-74 pattern rifles in 5.45x39, Eastern European surplus steel magazines are typically the most reliable choice. Magazine fit varies between AK manufacturers—verify compatibility with your specific rifle before purchasing. See also: Magazines and AK-47 Rifles.
AK Muzzle Devices and Accessories
AK barrels use metric threads (14x1 left-hand thread on most 7.62x39 rifles) for muzzle devices. Quality AK muzzle brakes and flash hiders from Bonesteel Arms, Midwest Industries, and similar manufacturers thread directly onto the AK barrel. Picatinny rail systems for AK rifles allow mounting optics and accessories—side-rail mounts are the standard for AK optic mounting. Suppressor-compatible AK muzzle devices are available for 14x1 LH threaded barrels for owners who have AK-compatible suppressors. See also: AK-47 Rifles and AK-47 Pistols.
