Ok, let's face it! It's pretty hard to justify paying the high price for this mag. I've had guys tell me, "Why pay that much? I can carry 3 or 4 30-round mags for a whole lot less money!" They are right, you can. BUT, can you store those mags fully loaded indefinately? NO!!! I have a four of these (thanks to confused family members four Christmas's ago.) I fully loaded them up and put them away while I was working overseas. I broke open the first one a year after loading it up and fired up my Bushmaster. All 100 rounds fired with no jams or mis-feeds! Broke out the second one after two years loaded and put away with the same results. I got the same results on year three with the third mag. I fully expect that next summer when I go for the fourth mag the results with be the same. Now, 100 rounds of 223 is not a light load and this is not something your average shooter is going to run around the woods with. That said, however, not having to reload every 27 rounds is a nice feature if you have to defend your store or home from rioter/looters. There is also the "Mega-Just-Too-Cool" factor as well when it's slung under a long barrel AR with a bipod. It is very well made and designed to last. I highly recommend getting at least one and keeping it fully loaded for when/if the SHTF!
