Jamming issues
I ordered my Hammerli TAC R1 22 and (3) additional 20 round magazine’s and right out of the box I found it to be a nice looking rifle, and it felt great, and I was excited to get to the range and try out the new Hammerli rifle. My excitement quickly turn to frustration as I experienced more than usual jamming issues. I was shooting Norma TAC, 22LR ammunition the first day at the range, I put 400 rounds through the rifle and had a Jamming issues every time, I only had two magazines that day that I did not have jamming issues. I gave the rifle the benefit of the doubt, and that the issue could possibly could be the ammunition and it needed a longer break-in period. I took the gun home, cleaned it and lubricated it. I took the Hammerli rifle out for a second try, this time I was firing CCI, Federal and Remington ammunition but continued to have jamming issues with all three of the different ammunition used. Fired another 200 rounds and continue to have Jam after Jam after Jam. I can express how disappointed I am with the Walther Hammerli TAC R1 22, I have several Walther pistol and love them, I bought the Hammerli rifles based on the Walther reputation and experience with their pistols…. What a big mistake!!! I’m Frustrated and disappointed my new with my Hammerli rifle paper weight and couldn’t recommend this rifle to anyone, I wish I would have bought the M&P 15-22. I have recorded the jamming issue with my Hammerli and plan to post on YouTube soon. DO NOT BUY!!!
