Model 60
This is essentially the Chief's Special in stainless with a 3" barrel. These things are really sweet. The alloy J-frame (model 642 etc.) snubbies all kick rather unpleasantly with .38+P ammo, and they are difficult to aim. This guy is just a little bit heavier, but the weight plus the three inch barrel make a world of difference, much easier to shoot and much better accuracy, especially for mediocre shooters like myself. I have a 642 and I can shoot this model 60 much, much better. Most of us don't have time to become highly proficient shooters, so this model makes good sense for EDC as long as you're not in shorts and a t-shirt. You can have a gunsmith bob the hammer if you're worried about snagging (also consider wood grips). My wife notes that this model is her favorite to shoot so I'm guessing that means it also fits smaller hands better than most service pistols. Love this model.
