Lone Peak Fuzion Ti

The Lone Peak Fuzion Ti is a lightweight Remington 700 footprint bolt action machined from 6AL-4V titanium with a DLC coating. It keeps the Fuzion's one-piece nitrided 4340 chrome-moly bolt, integral recoil lug and 75-degree bolt throw. A split 20 MOA Alpine-port rail trims more weight from the top of the receiver. Impact Guns carries the Fuzion Ti in short action with a magnum bolt face and long action with 308 or magnum bolt faces, including a left-hand long magnum.

Lone Peak Fuzion Ti Action Features

The Fuzion Ti receiver is cut from 6AL-4V titanium, with wire EDM-cut raceways for a smooth bolt throw. A DLC (diamond-like carbon) coating adds a hard, low-friction surface that resists wear. The recoil lug and the split 20 MOA Picatinny rail are machined into the receiver. The one-piece fluted bolt is nitrided 4340 chrome-moly with a mini M16-style extractor and a plunger ejector. A lightweight firing pin assembly shortens lock time, and the threaded bolt handle accepts interchangeable bolt knobs.

Why Choose a Titanium Rifle Action

6AL-4V titanium is a high-strength alloy that is roughly 40 percent less dense than steel. On the Fuzion Ti, that lowers the weight of the action itself without changing the bolt or footprint. Weight saved in the action can go toward a heavier barrel contour, a suppressor or a larger scope. It also simply means less to carry on a long pack-in. That is why the Fuzion Ti is aimed at mountain and backcountry hunting rifles.

Fuzion Ti Action Lengths and Bolt Faces

MDT lists right-hand Fuzion Ti actions in short and long action, each with a 308 or magnum bolt face. A 308 bolt face fits cartridges based on the .308 Winchester case, such as 6.5 Creedmoor. A magnum bolt face fits cartridges such as 6.5 PRC in a short action or .300 Winchester Magnum in a long action. Every Fuzion Ti uses a 75-degree bolt throw and a Wyatt BDL magazine cut. Confirm chamber and headspace requirements with the barrel maker before ordering.

Left-Hand Fuzion Ti

MDT lists one left-hand Fuzion Ti configuration: a long action with a magnum bolt face and a 75-degree bolt throw. Impact Guns carries that left-hand action. It gives left-handed hunters a titanium action for long magnum cartridges such as .300 Winchester Magnum. It uses the same DLC titanium receiver, split Alpine-port rail and nitrided bolt as the right-hand version.

Building a Mountain Rifle on the Fuzion Ti

The Fuzion Ti uses a Remington 700 footprint with a 1.350-inch multi-flat receiver diameter that fits Remington 700 inlets. MDT lists its CRBN, Timbr Core and Field stocks and its HNT26 chassis as compatible. The action accepts precision pre-fit barrels with a 1-1/16 x 16 TPI tenon thread. The Wyatt BDL cut works with a hinged floorplate or a detachable magazine setup. A trigger is not included, so choose one its maker lists as Remington 700 compatible.

Lone Peak Fuzion Ti vs Stainless Fuzion

The stainless Fuzion uses a nitrided 416R receiver with a full integral rail and a side bolt release. The Fuzion Ti swaps that receiver for DLC-coated titanium and a split Alpine-port rail to save weight. Short-action stainless Fuzion receivers use an AW-style magazine cut, while every Fuzion Ti uses a Wyatt BDL cut. The stainless Fuzion also offers 223 and 338 Lapua bolt faces, which the Ti does not. Choose the Ti when carry weight matters most.
