9mm Untouchable 1911
I saw the Honest Outlaw's review for this on you tube and wanted to get one. Mine was just like his. A kinda heavy but crisp 7# trigger. The rest of it was all goodness. Very accurate at the range. Initially it didn't cycle well on 115 grain ammo. I went to a mag of 124 and it ran great. Smooth cycling. It liked the three different mags I had to use. The stock mag that came with it, has a flat welded on bottom. This thing has a mag funnel fitted! Watch how you seat that stock mag or you'll bash your palm and still not seat that mag. My other mags were ten rounders with bump pads. Those were better for it. Put a couple boxes of ammo thru it and was very impressed. Feeding and extraction was just right. Nicely fitted barrel. More accurate than I am. The finish and fit were great. There is terrific value here in this model. The other night I dug into the fire control group. I used NO new parts. Just did some basic polishing and stonework on the trigger, sear and disconnector to smooth things up. Did some adjusting to the sear spring to reduce the pressure on the trigger bar so reduce the 3# take up to about 1.5#. End result was a clean 3.5# trigger. Very excited to go back to the range again tomorrow. If it shoots that well again for another 100 rounds, it is becoming a carry gun for me. The mag funnel and flat wire recoil spring aren't mentioned in the ad copy but are nice features. There is great value here.

Wow, just wow.
I'll call this as an under-rated 1911. It has a mag funnel, a flat wire recoil spring, full length one piece guide rod plus all the features listed in it's ad. Very disappointed to see it has a 7# (Measured) trigger pull, but at least it's crisp and has a nice reset. 3# of that pressure seems to be on the trigger take up. So there is much room for tuning here. One last pick, had a stove pipe jam while feeding the second shot. That was it. The rest of the 100 rounds I used this morning ran like a champ. It functioned on 115 grain ammo, but seemed to prefer 124 grain. Ejection was very positive and most all HP and ball ammo ran well. Seemed to be shooting a couple inches low at 7 yards. I moved the target out to 10 yards and that helped. Sights were aligned dead center. I just need to figure out my hold on it. It was very well fitted. Barrel is a snug fit, slide was very smooth with no play or rattle. Grips have a very good feel to them. There is checkering on the front and back strap to improve the grip. Very nice touch Girsan! Front strap isn't fully checkered, but the front is done nicely. I have medium sized hands and found it very comfortable. Safety is crisp and positive. For $450, I see a LOT of value in this pistol! Fit and finish are great. Very easy to tear down after the range trip to clean it. One more range trip and if it still shoots this well, I call it good for carry! Call me very impressed. Great service from Impact as well. They shipped it the day after purchase. All in all, a very positive experience. Thank you!
