This Colt Python is a six-shot, double-action/single-action revolver chambered in .357 Magnum that also fires .38 Special. It has a 6" vent-rib barrel with a recessed target crown, a stainless steel barrel, cylinder and frame, and walnut grips with the Colt medallion. The modern Python carries about 30 percent more steel under its adjustable target rear sight for added strength, and the front sight is user-interchangeable. A transfer bar safety and exposed hammer round out the design.
