Beretta B22 Jaguar
The Beretta B22 Jaguar is one of the most anticipated new .22 LR pistols in years — a dedicated competition platform developed in collaboration with TANDEMKROSS that brings serious target shooting credentials to the Beretta lineup. With a 5.25” threaded compensator barrel, a Picatinny or M-LOK barrel shroud for accessories, an optics-ready slide, and 15-round capacity, the B22 Jaguar is purpose-built for Steel Challenge, rimfire competition, and precision pistol shooters who want a factory-ready platform they don’t have to modify before competing.

The TANDEMKROSS Collaboration: What It Means
Beretta developed the B22 Jaguar in direct partnership with TANDEMKROSS, the dominant aftermarket parts manufacturer in the rimfire competition space. TANDEMKROSS has spent years building triggers, grips, and accessories for Ruger Mark IV and 10/22 platforms — bringing them into the B22 design process means the Jaguar was competition-optimized from the ground up rather than adapted after the fact. The trigger, grip geometry, and overall ergonomics reflect input from competitive shooters who know exactly what a serious rimfire competition pistol needs to do. The result is a platform that competes in the Steel Challenge and similar formats with factory components, not custom work.
Compensated Barrel and Shroud System
The B22 Jaguar’s 5.25” threaded barrel ships with an integrated compensator that reduces muzzle flip for faster target transitions. The barrel shroud accepts M-LOK accessories on select variants and Picatinny rail attachments on others, allowing lights, lasers, and support equipment to be mounted cleanly. The threaded muzzle is also compatible with .22 LR suppressors for hearing-safe recreational shooting or training. For competitive shooters, the compensation is the meaningful feature — a .22 that tracks back flat between shots is noticeably faster to run accurately in timed competition formats.
Metal Frame Variants: Cerakote Slide and Bronze Frame
The B22 Jaguar is available in several distinct configurations. The Metal Competition variant features a Cerakote-finished steel slide and a bronze Cerakote aluminum frame — a striking combination that also reduces weight without sacrificing the feel of a metal-frame competition pistol. The Tac variant uses a Picatinny rail slide and frame combination optimized for accessory mounting. Both share the same core action and barrel assembly; the choice between them comes down to aesthetic preference and which mounting system better suits your planned accessory configuration.
15-Round Capacity and Magazine System
The B22 Jaguar runs 15-round magazines — competitive capacity for a .22 LR pistol and sufficient for most Steel Challenge stages without a reload. The magazine design is purpose-built for the platform rather than shared with an existing pistol, which allows optimization for reliable rimfire feeding. Rimfire magazines are inherently more sensitive than centerfire designs given the cartridge’s geometry; Beretta’s in-house magazine design ensures the B22 feeds the ammunition it was built around. Extended magazine options are expected as the platform matures and the aftermarket develops around it.
How It Compares to the Ruger Mark IV and S&W Victory
The B22 Jaguar enters a competitive segment alongside the Ruger Mark IV Target and the S&W SW22 Victory. The Ruger Mark IV has the deepest aftermarket and the most proven competition track record — but the B22 Jaguar ships factory-competition-ready in a way the Mark IV doesn’t. The S&W Victory is a solid competition option with a modular design; the B22 counters with the TANDEMKROSS collaboration and more aggressive competition-focused geometry. For shooters who want to buy a .22 competition pistol and start competing without modification, the B22 Jaguar is the strongest factory answer the market has seen.
