Versitile and worth every penny...
I have been messing in target rifles for years. I have recently taken a strong interest in subsonic ammo. The M1A has it all covered. It comes standard with a gas block with a valve to turn off the gas feed if you want, and the action has a handle on the side that can work manual alot like a bolt action if needed. In this manner, it seems to be even quieter than my bolt action subsonics. Only thing I can hear from the action is the firing pin click. Amazing versatility from a Semi-Auto. Also mine came standard with a Aftermarket world leading premium target barrel. There are just some things that are taken for granted until you shoot it next to a factory mass production barrel... I shoot with my friends who are name brand bolt actions and win on occasion. They are amazed how a semi-auto can have such accuracy. The match grade features make a difference! Out of all of my rifles, My M1A will be the one IN my cold dead hands when they come to pry!

As good as it gets
I have been shooting the M1A for years now and it does it all. It is my go to gun for everything from deer hunting to target shooting. Out of the box accuracy and reliability to rival any bolt gun I own with the benefit of semi automatic fire. Add to this the versatile .308 round and it just doesn't get any better than the springfield armory M1A.
