The rear sight is hard coat anodized aluminum and adjustable for windage. The front sight, also aluminum, is removable and accepts standard M-16 posts. The SU-16B is not a replacement for the original SU-16 but a compliment for customers that put a premium on light weight and compactness. The “Bravo” type sights can be purchased as a retrofit for SU-16 owners preferring the M-16 system.

Perfect for the UTV
I use this as my goto utility gun when working around the hunting property in my Rhino UTV or on my ATV. With a green dot sight it is the perfect quick handling eliminator of coyotes and armadillos in my south Georgia hunting club. It's so much lighter and quicker handling than anything else I own and it has never failed to fire or cleanly eject. And, it saves wear and tear on my top dollar rifles.

Great rifle all around
Bought it because it was about half the price of an AR-15 and less than a Mini-14. Turned out this is a rocking piece of weaponry. 100 rounds of cheap ammo out of the box (lubed it a bit first, always do) and all 100 were in the body of the target at 25 and 50 yards using the stock sights. Solid shooting, aims right, light but not much kick. Not fancy, just a great shooting.223

great all around rifle
I picked this rifle up on a whim after seeing it at a gun show. the price point was very attractive to me and i soon found that i was getting alot of rifle for my dollar. i never put any optics on the gun, so i never did much shooting past 100yards, but the inexperienced 19 year old that i was still managed to keep a good percentage of my shots on a man sized target at that range. over the year or so i had it i put around 1000-1250 rounds through it and i can only recall one or two jams. occasionally the brass stovepiped in the action, but it was always fine after pulling back the bolt and removing the obstructing shell. i've heard some of the earlier models had problems with the synthetic mags falling out but i never had this problem. i never had much chance to use the bipod but i was definitely glad to have it. I also love that you can store spare magazines in the stock as well. that coupled with the compact size after folding make this gun a great backpack gun. it was very practical, easy to use and maintain and if i'd take it everywhere with me if i hadn't sold it. if you're wondering why i sold it, it had nothing to do with the merit or my personal opinion of the gun. unfortunately i had bills to pay and one of the guns had to go. rough times i suppose all in all, a wonderful rifle with alot of practicality in a sleek and eternally useful package
