Sweetest shooting .357 Mag I've ever shot
This is one sweet shooting .357! It handles magnum loads without the characteristic torquing that .357's are famous for. Action from the S&W PC is smooth, with a crisp 3.5 lb single action trigger pull and a 11 lb double action trigger. Swapping to a set of Wolff springs brings that double action trigger pull down to 8 lbs using their "standard power" hammer spring. Problem with consistent ignition caused me to install a Cylinder & Slide extended firing pin, which solved the only problem with this revolver. Having to replace the firing pin is what caused me to only give this revolver a rating of 4. If you install the bottom rail, one can install most weapon lights or weapon light/laser combos. Installing the top rail does not require removing the factory rear sight, which is a good thing, as the standard factory sights are wonderful for everyday range and practical use. However, taking this revolver hunting requires me to use some form of optic (my eyes aren't as young as they once were!!). Mounting either rail is a 2 minute procedure. This is a pricey firearm, but if you are a one-gun-guy (or gal), this is one gun you will enjoy owning and using, so why not get quality and a little cache-value at the same time. I've owned Colt Pythons with custom action jobs, as well as a couple of other S&W's and a couple of Rugers in .357, and none of them shoot as sweet as this gun does.
