I like it a lot
I bought this gun while looking for a double action revolver to practice trigger pull. The price was a main selling point. I was impressed with the looks of the gun and the finish is better than the one on the Ruger SP101 I just received. The trigger pull is just what I was wanting for practicing. It's kinda 2 stage while pulling slowly and at the second stage you're in single action mode with little creep left to fire. The SP101 is similar but with much more creep before firing. The pug shoots 3-1/2 in. low at 7yds but compensating by placing the front sight half way above the rear sight hits POA. Windage is right on.

Cheap and reliable, that's how you say 'American'.
You could certainly do worse for $300. Being a revolver, there's not a whole lot that can go wrong with it, such as FTE's (FTF's would be a fault on part of the ammo manufacturer). The cylinder is a little sticky, but I suspect that after a time it will loosen up as I break it in. The trigger pull is a mite heavy as well, but I think that's part of the safety, which keeps the gun from firing until the trigger is pulled ALL the way back. Not halfway, not 'almost' all the way (you'll see when you cock the hammer just how far back the trigger goes). I haven't fired anything so powerful that the barrel ports would come in handy, but it's a 2" barrel anyway, so I'm not sure how useful the ports are to begin with (speaking of 2" barrels, while this gun is rated for +P ammo, +P ammo would be ineffective and a waste of money, as the barrel isn't long enough to burn off all the extra powder packed into a +P cartridge). Charter Arms has an excellent lifetime warranty, and their parts are inexpensive. Their customer service people are easy to do business with, too. I might order their DAO replacement hammer just to cut down on draw snagging.
