Very Accurate
My Savage Mark II F, is just as accurate as my CZ's, for a fraction of the cost. It is also light weight. Has excellent iron sights.

Great and Very Accurate Rifle
I absolutely love this rifle. It is super accurate and has never had a jam. Although this rifle is marked for .22LR it will chamber and fire .22 shorts. Easy disassembly and cleaning. I also purchased a second magazine, have never had a misfeed, although you have to be slightly more careful with shorts as they tend to jump up, but often they chamber just fine. Very light and very accurate rifle.

Excellent little rifle.
I purchased my Savage Mark II rifle last summer, since then it has accompanied me on just nearly every camping and hunting trip. I've had it in everything from below freezing temperatures and snow to 115 degree Fahrenheit and high humidity summers and she hasn't complained or malfunctioned once. She'll digest any ammo given to her although she does seem to prefer CCI Mini Mags. Accuracy is great. I can keep it around the size of a nickel at 50 yards but I am sure the rifle is capable of much better than that. The one I have seems to have a lighter barrel than the bull barreled one pictured but I would bet the bull barrel one is more accurate. I bought mine as a package that came with a Simmons 3-9 scope. The scope is not the best in the world but it keeps zero, is pretty clear and works good for what I do. In conclusion I do not think that anyone looking for a good bolt-action 22 Long Rifle can go wrong with choosing a Savage Mark II, heck, I am thinking about buying another one.
