Urban Carry
Urban Carry holsters are American-made leather holsters built around the LockLeather retention clip. The clip locks the pistol as it seats and releases when you draw. Impact Guns carries the Signature LockLeather line in IWB and OWB cuts, each with a red dot (RMR) optic cut. Sizes fit popular carry pistols, including the Glock 19, Glock 43, Sig Sauer P365 and Springfield Hellcat. Each holster is pressed from thick steer-hide and has an extended sweat guard.

How the LockLeather Retention Clip Works
The LockLeather clip is built into the holster body, so there is no strap, hood or button to work. Slide the pistol in until it locks, then pull to release it on the draw. Retention can be adjusted with a standard Phillips screwdriver. Urban Carry anchors the clip at six points and shapes it to cover part of the open area inside the trigger guard. The leather is form-fitted under 25,000 pounds of pressure for a close fit to each pistol.
Urban Carry LockLeather IWB Holsters
The Signature LockLeather IWB is cut for concealed carry inside the waistband. Urban Carry lists appendix, before-the-hip and behind-the-hip positions, on the strong side or as a cross-draw. A heavy-duty stainless steel clip holds it on belts up to 1.5 inches wide. The maker uses saddle-grade leather, heavy-duty nylon stitching and a reinforced opening that keeps the mouth from folding when you reholster. Shop the full category at IWB Holsters.
Urban Carry LockLeather OWB Holsters
The Signature LockLeather OWB rides outside the waistband and works for open carry or concealed carry under a cover garment. Wear it before or behind the hip, strong side or cross-draw. It fits a standard belt or heavy-duty gun belt up to 1.75 inches wide. An extended sweat guard keeps the back of the slide off your skin when you sit or move. Compare other outside-the-waistband options at OWB Holsters.
RMR Cut Holsters for Red Dot Pistols
Every Urban Carry holster we stock is the RMR version, cut so a slide-mounted optic enters the holster with the pistol. Urban Carry says the cut clears nearly any RMR-style red dot, reflex sight or thermal optic. The optic cut does not change the size you need; the size number still has to match the pistol model. Pair one with an optic from our Red Dot Sights selection.
Finding Your Urban Carry Holster Size
Urban Carry builds each holster to a numbered size that matches specific pistols. The sizes we stock are listed for these pistols:
- 201: Glock 43 and Sig Sauer P365XL
- 205: Glock 26 and Smith & Wesson M&P Shield
- 208: Glock 17 and Sig Sauer P320
- 209 (OWB): Glock 20 and Sig Sauer P320
- 215: Springfield Hellcat
- 218: Glock 19
- 223: Sig Sauer P365 and P365X
The holsters we carry are right-hand, black leather. Check the pistol named on each listing before you order.
Breaking In and Caring for Leather
A new Urban Carry holster is tight on purpose, and the leather shapes itself to the pistol and your body with daily wear. Insert and draw the unloaded pistol repeatedly to speed up break-in. Urban Carry recommends conditioning the leather every 6 to 12 months to keep it supple. The company backs its holsters with a limited lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects.
Frequently Asked Questions: Urban Carry Holsters
How does the Urban Carry LockLeather clip hold the gun?
The clip locks the pistol automatically when it is pushed fully into the holster. A firm pull releases it on the draw, with no strap or button. Retention tension adjusts with a standard Phillips screwdriver.
Will an Urban Carry holster fit my pistol with a red dot?
The RMR versions are cut so the optic slides in with the pistol, and Urban Carry says they clear nearly any RMR-style red dot. Choose the size number listed for your exact pistol model.
Can I carry the Urban Carry IWB appendix or cross-draw?
Yes. Urban Carry lists appendix, before-the-hip, behind-the-hip and cross-draw positions for the IWB. Cross-draw uses the same hand version as strong-side carry, so a right-handed shooter uses the right-hand holster.
What belt width do Urban Carry holsters fit?
The IWB clip fits belts up to 1.5 inches wide, and the OWB fits belts up to 1.75 inches wide. A stiff gun belt helps either holster sit steady.
Why does my new Urban Carry holster feel tight?
New leather is tight by design and loosens slightly as it molds to the pistol. Leather can stretch but cannot tighten, so a snug start gives a better long-term fit.
