Hi-Point 4595TS Carbine 45 ACP 17" Barrel, Polymer Skeletonized Target Stock, Propak, 9 Rd Mag

Impact and my FFL, great job as usual. Have made several purchases from Impact and have no complaints. Picked this and the Hi Point .45 pistol up a few days ago, just now getting outside to try them out. For several reasons I didn't even clean them first. Main reason is the reputation these guns have. Almost everyone says two things, "they are ugly", and "reliable and accurate". I agree. The pistol is ugly as sin, but I think the carbine is "mean" looking. Besides that, as long as you are not a gun snob you should care mostly about the value, purpose and dependability of your weapon before the aesthetics. Only had one FTF and I'm sure it was because I didn't have the magazine seated all the way. Ran two mags of Winchester white box 230 gr fmj. Ran 1 mag thru the pistol, no problems at all with it. Both of these are my 1st firearm's in .45. The pistol weighs a ton so recoil was similar to my SD9. The carbine is heavier than my AR's and being a carbine on top of that it's recoil is pretty weak to me. (and I'm a fairly small guy, 165lbs) In short, this carbine and the matching pistol will be replacing my 12 gauge and 9mm pistol as my truck gun combo. They use the same magazines and .45 packs a serious punch. My only complaints are the capacity of the mags like everyone else. Simple fix, I'll buy more magazines. The other is the yellow and red warning stickers they put on the stock, gotta get some goo be gone to get that sticky crap off. No big complaints. Well worth the money IMHO!!! Probably get another later on for the house.
