Women shooters will LOVE this pistol!
Ok let's get this out of the way first, this is one beautiful 1911 and women love beautiful things. How do I know this? I'm a woman. Having said that, let me also add that I am a petite woman with very small hands and this pistol feels as though it was designed personally for me. The S&W 1911Sc, E-series is light, very well balanced and very accurate right out of the box. And best of all, I can get my hands around the grip and it feels quite natural. Also, the recoil is minimal (it's a slight push) so that I can get back on target in no time. Don't get me wrong, this gun is perfectly suited for men as well. In fact, it was probably designed with male shooters in mind, but if you are a woman and you're looking to purchase a 1911, this is the one to compare to all others before you make that purchase. Without hesitation, I can say that it has become my favorite pistol, and I own quite a few. I LOVE this gun!

I dare say this pistol is possibly the most beautiful 1911 ever produced, at least to this day. S&W has produced a spot on, near flawless firearm that performs in every way. The only downside I've found is the melonite finish is somewhat fragile and scratches quite easily. Other than that, the scandium frame is extremely light, well balanced and the round butt grip is excellent to hold. With the 4.25" barrel length, it's quite well suited for carry. Overall, this would get a 5 if the finish was more durable.
