The Hellpup Series—Pioneer Arms’ Most Popular Pistols
The Hellpup is Pioneer Arms’ AK-pattern pistol series, chambered in 7.62x39mm and 5.56 NATO with barrel lengths ranging from 7” to 11.73”. Polish-manufactured to tight tolerances, the Hellpup has earned a reputation for quality and reliability above its price point. Available in multiple configurations including wood furniture, polymer, threaded barrels, and Picatinny quad rail systems. The Hellpup Micro Pro in 7.62x39mm with its 7” threaded barrel is the most compact and popular configuration.
AK-47 Sporter Rifles—The Full-Length Option
The Pioneer Arms Polymer Sporter is the full-length AK-47 rifle configuration—a 16.3” barrel in 7.62x39mm with black polymer furniture, 14x1LH threaded muzzle, and 30-round magazine. New for 2025, the Polymer Sporter uses the same licensed Kalashnikov blueprints as the Hellpup in a traditional rifle format suited to hunting, home defense, and range use. For buyers who want a standard AK-47 rifle rather than a pistol format, the Sporter is the correct choice.

Pioneer Arms builds their AK-pattern firearms in Poland under license from Kalashnikov Concern—the original designer of the AK-47 platform.
