Lone Peak Fuzion
The Lone Peak Fuzion action is a Remington 700 footprint bolt action machined from pre-hardened 416R stainless steel with a nitride finish. It pairs an integral 20 MOA Picatinny rail and integral recoil lug with a one-piece fluted 4340 chrome-moly bolt. Lone Peak Arms is now part of MDT Sporting Goods. Impact Guns carries right-hand Fuzion actions in short action with 223 or magnum bolt faces, and long action with 308 or magnum bolt faces.

Lone Peak Fuzion Action Features
The Fuzion receiver is cut from pre-hardened 416R stainless steel and finished in nitride for wear and rust resistance. Wire EDM-cut raceways give the bolt a smooth, repeatable throw. The 20 MOA Picatinny rail and recoil lug are machined into the receiver, so there is no separate base or lug to loosen. The one-piece fluted bolt is 4340 chrome-moly with a nitride finish, a mini M16-style extractor and a plunger ejector. A lightweight firing pin assembly shortens lock time. A side bolt release makes bolt removal for cleaning simple.
Fuzion Short Action vs Long Action
Short and long Fuzion actions share the same receiver design, integral rail and bolt construction. The short action suits cartridges sized for a short magazine box, such as 6.5 Creedmoor and .308 Winchester. The long action suits longer cartridges such as .300 Winchester Magnum and 7mm Remington Magnum. Standard Fuzion actions use a 75-degree bolt throw, which shortens bolt lift and improves scope clearance. MDT also lists a long action with a 338 Lapua Magnum bolt face and a 90-degree bolt throw.
Choosing a Fuzion Bolt Face
The bolt face must match the case head of the cartridge you plan to chamber. A 223 bolt face fits the .223 Remington family in a short action. A 308 bolt face fits cartridges based on the .308 Winchester case, such as 6.5 Creedmoor. A magnum bolt face fits magnum case heads, such as 6.5 PRC in a short action or .300 Winchester Magnum in a long action. Confirm the barrel maker's chamber and headspace requirements before ordering a pre-fit barrel.
Fuzion Magazine Cut and Bottom Metal
Short-action Fuzion receivers use an AW-style magazine cut, and long-action receivers use a BDL cut. The 338 Lapua version is cut for a 3.825-inch Wyatt magazine box. MDT lists Wyatt box internal lengths of 2.995 inches for short action and 3.825 inches for long action. MDT lists its Core, Hunting and Precision bottom metal as compatible, for BDL or detachable magazine setups with AICS-pattern magazines. Match the bottom metal and magazine to the action length before ordering.
Stocks, Chassis and Barrels for the Fuzion
The Fuzion uses a Remington 700 footprint with a 1.350-inch multi-flat receiver diameter that fits Remington 700 inlets. MDT lists its ACC Elite, ACC Premier Gen2, HNT26, JAE-G5, XRS and LSS Gen3 chassis as compatible. Its CRBN, Timbr Core and Field stocks are also listed for the Fuzion. The action accepts precision pre-fit barrels, and the barrel tenon thread is 1-1/16 x 16 TPI. A trigger is not included, so choose one its maker lists as Remington 700 compatible.
Lone Peak Fuzion vs Fuzion Ti
The Fuzion Ti shares the Fuzion's bolt, Remington 700 footprint and 75-degree throw, but its receiver is 6AL-4V titanium with a DLC coating. That makes the Ti the lighter choice for a mountain or backpack hunting rifle. The stainless Fuzion suits a competition or precision rifle where action weight matters less. Only the stainless Fuzion offers the 223 and 338 Lapua bolt faces. The Ti uses a split Alpine-port rail and a Wyatt BDL magazine cut on both lengths.
