Ideal for target acquisition, the TLR-2 IRW features a Class 1 "Eye Safe" IR laser and 300 lumens of visible, blinding white light. The light source is C4 LED, with a 50,000 hour lifetime. The IR Laser is 850 nm. The lens is made of high-temperature, shock-mounted, impact-resistant Borofloat glass. It takes two 3 Volt CR123A lithium batteries, with a shelf life of ten years. The On/Off swith is an ambidextrous momentary/steady on/off switch. It also has a three position Mode Selector switch (White light only, Safe OFF, IR Laser only). Also a double tap of momentary paddle within 0.4 seconds activates white light strobe. It features a one-handed snap-on and tighten interface keeps hands away from muzzle when attaching/detaching. It securely fits a broad range of weapons. It mounts directly to handguns with Glock-style rails and to all Mil-Std 1913 (Picatinny) rails. It has been extensively live-fire tested for its impact resistant construction. Windage and elevation adjustment screws are mounted in brass bushings for long life and dependable zero retention. It has highly accurate sight repeatablility when remounting. It is IPX4 rated design for water-resistant operation. The strobe can be disabled.
