45 ACP remains the most common Kimber 1911 chambering. 9mm versions add a round or two of capacity and softer recoil. Kimber also offers 10mm in models such as the Custom II GFO, Camp Guard, Rapide Frost and Super Jagare. Shop ammunition at 45 ACP and 10mm.
Kimber Carry II, CDP and TLE II Lines
The Carry II series covers the Pro Carry II and Ultra Carry II, with steel or aluminum frames by version. CDP models add night sights and carry-melted edges, according to Kimber. The TLE II line is styled after Kimber's law-enforcement pistols, and some versions add a Picatinny rail.

Kimber 1911 vs. Kimber 2K11
The 1911 uses a single-stack magazine and a slimmer grip. The Kimber 2K11 is a double-stack design built for higher capacity. Buyers who want a classic 1911 feel usually choose the 1911; those who want more rounds compare the Kimber 2K11.
