Magazine sold me on the pistol.
I had been shopping for some time for a .22 plinker but kept being dissuaded by magazines that felt like I was shoving my thumb onto dull knives to load them. The followers push-down tab is large enough and soft enough that it is comfortable to hold down while loading the magazine. That is what caused me to buy the M&P 22 pistol vs some others like the traditional Rugers. Now if only I could actually get MORE of the mags...
