DNT Optics
DNT Optics makes digital night vision scopes, thermal riflescopes and thermal monoculars for hunting and target shooting, from its base in Sugar Land, Texas. The DNT lineup covers the Hydra multi-function thermal scope, the ThermNight thermal and day/night scope, and the ZULUS HD V2 and ZULUS 4K digital day/night scopes. It also includes the Hound handheld thermal monocular. Many DNT models add a built-in laser rangefinder and ballistic calculator, and DNT quick-detach mounts complete the setup.

DNT Hydra Thermal Scopes
The DNT Hydra is a multi-function thermal optic that works as a standalone riflescope, a clip-on behind an LPVO or low-power prism, or a handheld monocular. DNT lists a 12-micron, 18mK-or-better thermal sensor and a 1024x768 micro-OLED display. Its Super Resolution processing sharpens the image from the 256 sensor. The housing is machined from a single block of 6061 aluminum, rated IP67 and recoil-rated to .50 BMG. Hydra models run on interchangeable 18650 batteries and stream the sight picture to the DNT Optics app. Hydra listings here run from 256x192 to 640x512 sensors and 25mm to 50mm objectives, with or without a laser rangefinder. The compact Hydra Mini uses a 10mm objective and 1-4x magnification.
DNT ThermNight Thermal and Day/Night Scopes
The DNT ThermNight puts a thermal channel and a 1920x1080 digital day/night channel in one riflescope. Picture-in-Picture mode shows both channels at once. DNT lists a built-in laser rangefinder from 5 to 1,100 yards and an onboard ballistic calculator with dial-in or holdover corrections. Each scope records video and audio to 64GB of built-in storage, and DNT rates battery life at up to 5 hours. ThermNight models here come with 256x192, 384x288 or 640x512 thermal sensors.
DNT ZULUS HD V2 and ZULUS 4K Day/Night Scopes
The ZULUS HD V2 is a digital day/night riflescope that works in full daylight, at dawn and dusk, and at night. DNT lists a Sony STARVIS 2 sensor, a 1920x1080 micro-OLED display and a detachable 850nm IR illuminator in the box. It comes in 3-12x and 5-20x versions, with or without a 5-1,100-yard laser rangefinder. A 21700 battery is rated for up to 10 hours, and video records to 32GB of internal storage. The ZULUS 4K is a tube-style day/night scope with a laser rangefinder and ballistic engine. The DNT NVMD is a compact night vision device that serves as a red dot magnifier, a standalone scope or a clip-on camera.
DNT Hound Thermal Monocular
The DNT Hound is a handheld thermal imaging monocular with a laser rangefinder and ballistic calculator. DNT builds it with a 384x288 sensor and a 15mm or 25mm lens, or a 640x512 sensor with a 35mm lens. Hunters use a handheld thermal to scan fields and tree lines without shouldering a rifle. The built-in rangefinder gives a distance once an animal is spotted.
Thermal or Digital Day/Night: Which DNT Fits
Thermal optics such as the Hydra and Hound read heat, so animals stand out against cooler backgrounds in total darkness and through light cover. Digital day/night optics such as the ZULUS use a light-sensitive camera sensor and an infrared illuminator. They show more surface detail and also work as a daytime riflescope. The ThermNight combines both channels in one scope. Check state and local hunting regulations for thermal and night vision use before you hunt.
DNT Quick-Detach Mounts
DNT offers quick-detach Picatinny mounts for its scopes. The Standard Quick-Detach Mount is a 1.5-inch cantilever design. The Multi-Functional Quick-Detach Mount has a 1.5-inch height and dual Picatinny sections for accessories. The Flip-to-Side QD Mount sits at 1.7 inches and swings the optic out of the sight line when it is not in use. Confirm ring or mount compatibility with the optic body before you buy.
