What Is the CVA Scout?

The CVA Scout is a single-shot break-action pistol—think of it as a compact hunting handgun built on the same reliable break-action mechanism CVA uses in its muzzleloaders and Cascade rifles. It features a 14-inch barrel (legal as a handgun under NFA rules without additional paperwork), a synthetic stock, and a compact overall length that makes it easy to handle in a blind, from a saddle, or in dense brush. The action is exceptionally simple—open the action, load one round, close it, shoot. There is nothing to malfunction.

Caliber Options

The Scout’s caliber versatility is its biggest selling point.
