Savage 93R17 FXP with Scope Bolt 17 HMR 21" Barrel, Synthetic Black Stock Blued, 5rd

I bought this rifle package as a way to get into the .17 HMR caliber without breaking the bank. This is a 'best value' combination. Mine came with a Bushnell 3x9x32mm scope which is decent. I did have trouble with the original 5-shot magazine that would vomit all remaining rounds when cycling the bolt after the first shot! I called Savage and they immediately sent me a new magazine. No further issues. I suggest sighting it in at 100 yards. This will enable you to shoot items at 50, 100 and 200 yards with minimal hold under or holdover adjustment. Mine shoots very well. It's a working man's rifle, which works fine for me. The stock is unimpressive, and it could use a monte carlo butstock, but it is durable and weather resistant. Nice fit and finish on the rest of the rifle. This fits my medium frame well. I recommend it and I would buy it again. Beware all rodents and varmints; the Rimfire Rifleman has got you in his sights.
