The Kel-Tec CMR-30 Rifle is chambered for the .22WMR cartridge (22 Magnum). The design is a rifle version of the popular Kel-Tec PMR-30 pistol. The same 30 round magazines are used. The single action trigger mechanism, bolt stop, ambidextrous safety levers, and mag catch are also identical.
The CMR-30 rifle includes a collapsible stock and the 16” barrel is threaded 1/2”-28 to accept many different muzzle attachments. The multi-position collapsible stock allows for a short overall length of 22.7” with the stock collapsed, and 30.6” when extended. The long top picatinny rail will accept a multitude of different optics, and the removable under picatinny rail is included. The ambidextrous operating handles are non-reciprocating and latch in the forward position. The stock latch lever is also ambidextrous and located just in front of the trigger guard. An integral sling loop is included near the rear of the grip, on both sides.
The CMR-30 is constructed of hard-coat anodized aluminum for the upper assembly and rails and houses the steel barrel. The collapsible stock is made with aluminum stock rods, and a nylon butt plate. The stock was designed to have a natural cheek weld when extended. The grip, mag catch, safety levers, stock latch, and operating handles are made of glass reinforced nylon (Zytel). The grip houses the frame which is made of aluminum. The bolt assembly houses a captive recoil spring assembly. Magpul® flip-up sights included.
The extensive use of aluminum, and a lock time lower than most bolt action rifles makes the CMR-30 a very accurate rifle.

Fun Rifle
I've really enjoyed owning this rifle. 22 magnum is an awesome round and doesn't get enough love. Love that the rifle isn't an AR clone in 22 mag. AR's are fantastic rifles, pretty much the perfect ergonomics for a fighting rifle but for the 22 mag something different was just the ticket. This rifle is lightweight and easy to store. Great truck or back pack gun. Especially paired with the PMR 30 because of magazine compatibility. Take care to load the magazine correctly and you'll have very few issues. I've had some stoppages, but no rim fire runs 100 percent. Charge it again and your back in action. Haven't shot it for smallest possible groups yet, but it's accurate ringing steel out to 100 yards no problem. The rail on top and underneath make this rifle easy to customize and add accessories to. Kel Tec hit a home run with this rifle. I appreciate the innovation they bring to the industry and have really enjoyed shooting this rifle. Runs perfect
22 magnum ammo is now easy to find- so I bought this. I also have a PMR30. I have never had a single problem with either and they are a lot of fun. I shoot a lot of critters around my place and the 22 mag is the ticket. Bought them both at impact guns

Take care in magazine loading prevents problems
My CMR-30 came with me reading mixed reviews on failure to feed and failure to eject. I have experienced a couple of those issues and found loading the magazine properly, as well as permitting it to "break in" the magazine springs is critical to the function of this gun. The magazine is a double stack, 30 round capacity and the user must load it carefully, taking care to slap the magazine on your hand so the rounds are fully seated to the back of the magazine, and being certain each round is properly seated when inserted into the magazine. If cleaned regularly, and it's easy to take down, and the magazines carefully loaded, I experienced no problems at the range. This gun needs some cleaning when you receive it, and before you shoot it. After a day at the range, it will need to be cleaned and lubed. A straight blow back action can get dirty fast if the ammo you are using doesn't burn all the powder. In short, keep it clean, load it properly, and the gun will perform to your satisfaction. Personally, I love the gun, it's tiny profile, it near non-existent weight, and the feel of firing it and realizing it is by nature a very accurate gun,. Buy one. You won't regret it.

Awesome. A fun and practical gun.
Backordered on 9/7 and delivered to my dealer on 10/7. Not too long of a wait considering normal Kel Tec product releases. I love this gun. It is simply a pleasure to shoot and I have had zero problems. I am aware of some negative reviews from a prominent Youtube personality but I have had zero issues with the gun or its magazines. No FTF, No FTE. This gun is blowback operated only and not a hybrid blowback lockup design like the PMR-30. I think this ups the reliability. It makes for a fun time at the range and is great for a bug out bag or trail gun. Very light and fully collapsed would fit nicely in a backpack or bag. I added an AAC Element 2 suppressor, a Magpul RVG, and a Vortex Strikefire. The 22 WMR round is a really fun round to shoot, so if you like the round, you will more than likely love this gun. Impact Guns was, as usual, was a pleasure to deal with.
