heavy spring

Bought this for my wife and she couldn't rack the slide / very heavy spring. I can barely do it and the salesman at the store could hardly do it. The gun is so small and the spring is heavy ,heavy haeavy!! left the breach open for a month to soften the spring but didn't make any difference. not a fun experience, got rid of it.
