Follow-Up T to My Earlier Review
I sent the gun to Magna Port and had it quad ported. Finally took it to the range to shoot, what a difference! I could shoot full load 357 magnum rounds all day long. The porting really works and makes magnum loads much more enjoyable and accurate to shoot. 38 special rounds are like shooting 22LR rounds. I would not shoot it at night, the porting does create quite a bit of flames angled out from either side of the barrel where it's ported. This is now a carry gun with 357 magnum rounds. I would seriously suggest getting this gun ported if you are going to shoot magnum rounds through it.

A Handful w/full Magnum Loads
Beautifully made revolver. Obviously it has some heft being an all metal revolver. Fit and finish nicely done. Rubber grips feel good in the hand. Shooting .38 special ammo is easy and a breeze but put full load .357 magnum loads and it is a handful. Due to the short barrel there is not sufficient weight to keep recoil dampened. I was only able to shoot one cylinder of full magnum loads and my hand and wrist had it. I've had it ported to see if it would reduce felt recoil, I'll follow-up once I shoot it again. Single action is a breeze to shoot but the double action is difficult to stage the trigger at the break point and I tended to pull right through it. I still like the trigger over a Ruger, but that is personal preference.
