This was the revolver my grandfather taught me how to shoot handguns with, as well as, all the pistol tricks he had learned to do from his favorite westerns. This pistol is the new version of what I learned to handle 30 years ago. Same functions, same accuracy, same weight balance for spinning tricks. It is a sweet little gun to practice the fundamentals of shooting with and some gun tricks as well. My purpose of buying this Ruger was half sentimental and half instrumental. I will be teaching my kids handgun work with this weapon, rather than my 1911's and the cost of shooting .45 ACP. I got a huge nostalgia kick out of shooting it today for the first time again after 20 years since handling it. Same feel, same awesome performance, except my ability is vastly closer to what my grandpa demonstrated to me so many years ago.
