Fobus Paddle vs. Belt Holsters
Fobus produces two primary attachment styles. The paddle holster uses a molded polymer paddle that hooks over the waistband — fast on and off without removing the belt, popular for range use and vehicle carry. The belt holster uses a fixed belt slot or rotating clip that attaches to the belt for more secure positioning. For all-day carry where the holster stays on, the belt attachment is more stable. For range use where frequent removal is needed, the paddle is more convenient.

Are Fobus holsters suitable for concealed carry?
Fobus paddle holsters are OWB (outside the waistband) and are not designed for IWB concealed carry. For open carry or range use, Fobus performs adequately. For concealed carry, an IWB Kydex holster from Alien Gear, Safariland, or a custom maker is more appropriate. Fobus does produce some IWB designs — verify the specific model’s carry position before purchasing.
