Good entry level 1911.
I have always wanted a 1911 and bought this brand at a local gun show. This has a lot of nice features for the money. I did install new sights and that was a little tough finding sights which fit. The Citadel comes with "Novak Style" sights. If you want to replace the sights I would recommend taking the gun to a good gun smith to measure the dove tail slots to ensure the correct replacement sights are ordered. The finish is ok, nothing to brag about but that is ok as I wanted to have it duracoated. I also had some customized grips added as well as an extended slide release and safety added. There are an abundance of after market parts to add to customize the gun to make it unique. I was surprised an economical 1911 shot as well as it did. At 25 yards I was able to put seven shots in a grapefruit size area firing from the standing position. While this will never win any competitions, its good enough for personal defense. As far as I am concerned, as long as you can consistently put rounds on target that is good enough. In closing I know there are some who say that it would have been better to spend the money on a higher priced model than spend the money on aftermarket parts and a new finish, but that is part of the fun of owning this gun.
