Great condition for a 49-year-old pistol!
The gun I received was a 1968 model, round hammer. Bluing was largely intact, save for some holster wear on the muzzle and near the factory mark. The extractor is a brown/plum color, which I haven't seen before. The Barrel is pristine. The Century Arms import mark is in two lines, below the ejection port. It's actually centered and even with the lines of the gun, which is the best I could hope for. It arrived lightly oiled - no cosmoline! - but after spraying solvent, my Q-Tips came out with a lot of black crud, like it hadn't been completely cleaned after firing. The stock double-action trigger pull for these guns is in the neighborhood of 25 lbs, so the first thing I did was replace the springs with a Wolff kit to bring it down to a more manageable level. It now feels on par with my S&W 642. Overall, I'm very pleased. For a 49-year-old surplus pistol, it is in great condition, and well worth the price paid.
