Great pistol!
This pistol is great, and goes everywhere I do. It allows for deep concealment in situations where carrying a gun is not normally appropriate. It is also very accurate in experienced hands. I have repeatedly hit an 8" steel at 35 yards with it without a single miss, and plenty of shocked onlookers can back up that claim. Great pistol at a great value!

Fantastic CCW
This is the best for CCW anytime any season. I carry one as does my wife. I added the Impact magazine extender to make this a 7+1

Great concealed carry gun
The Ruger LCP performs it's intended function very well: An ultra light, deep concealment self defense weapon. I have both a Desantis front pocket holster and a leather back pocket wallet style holster. I usually use the front pocket holster and I almost forget the LCP is there. Using the supplied Ruger finger extension mag floor plate, the LCP fits well in hand with my middle and ring finger around the grip. The gun is very light. The downside being that recoil is snappy but it is manageable. Overall, the gun is rounded and smooth for fast deployment. This makes for very diminutive sites, however. For my use, this makes the Crimson Trace LG-431 a necessary accessory. I have mine calibrated for 10-12' and it hits where I point it. The Impact Ruger +1 mag extension is out of stock at the time that I'm writing this but they look like a very useful mod. Impact also has GREAT pricing for the LCP factory mags. I've put a couple of boxes of ammo through mine and I've had no problems. The LCP is a great little pocket pistol and Impact has about the best price I've seen.

This little pistol covers it's base very well.
I've looked at a lot of pocket pistols recently. I've been burning up all the information I could for quite some time, and I've got to say that if you're looking for a reliable little piece to carry in your jeans butt pocket on a casual date, or if you're a woman who wants to carry in her purse, or even if you're a jogger who wants to bellyband holster a light, ultra low profile pistol, this is the one for you. The problem I have with most guns that fit in this class is that I have a hard time holding them. I have medium sized hands that usually don't like holding on to small things. However, even with two fingers hanging off the bottom of this tiny gun, you've got a positive grip. The palm swell grip area is deep enough to get a solid grip on when drawing quickly, and for something that will literally fit in your pocket, this little gun covers its base very well. You can get not invasive and easy to install Crimson Trace® laser grips for this, which makes it friendly to shooting novices who just want some security. Cons are that the sights are almost non-existent (you shouldn't ever use them, but...) and the low amount of rounds (6+1 in baby caliber) but like I said, this gun covers it's base very well.

It is what it is...excellent concealment.
I bought this after comparing to Kel-Tec. Fit and finish much better than Kel-Tec. Slips in my back pocket and rides there in a Blackchawk! (size 1) holster unnoticed all day. Extra magazine fits nicely in that small "watch" pocket in my jeans. Incidentally, the LCP will fit snugly without holster in that pocket, but I prefer the trigger guard be fully covered with the holster. I added the magazine extensions, made a big difference in my confidence to hang on to it. Sure, the sights are diminutive, however after a little practice with good grip and trigger discipline, it's very accurate. One FTE in the first 100 rounds; I probably limp-wristed it. I've fired a total of 700 rounds to date and it always goes bang and has not had any FTF or FTE issues. Eats up any .380 ammo, I prefer Speer Gold Dot 90 grain JHP for carry. Recoil is a bit snappy, but not uncomfortable or uncontrollable at all, for my hands anyways. For the size and weight, the few minor tradeoffs such as slide lock on last round and small sights are insignificant on such an excellent firearm with the Ruger name on it. Although I have other handguns to carry, I never leave home without my LCP.

love the size, but that's about it
I was very excited to see Ruger put together such a nice compact carry piece. However, my excitement was diminished when I shot this little guy. The sights are very poor, almost unusable unless you paint them some color you can actually see. Very whippy in recoil, which is expected for such a small gun but more than I would have liked, compared to things like the Bodyguard or the Walther. Overall, it came out at the right time when everyone wanted smaller but doesn't live up to all the hype.

Ruger lcp
This gun is a pretty good little gun for concealed carry. Its fits really great in even just a small pocket. It can be concealed in almost every situation. As far as shooting goes, it really shoots pretty good for close range and seems to work better for people with smaller hands, I you have larger hands you probably won't enjoy shooting this gun but it will still be a great gun for concealed carry. The kick on this gun is quite a bit for such a small gun but if you don't mind it when it really counts then you won't be dissatisfied.

Great for Concealed Carry
For concealed carry, I want my guns to have the best size/weight to firepower ratio as possible. Also, I want to be able to legally carry in all kinds of clothes without anyone else knowing. The Ruger LCP is perfect for this. 6+1 rounds of .380 ACP is great when the gun can ride in your pocket constantly and comfortably. I bought an inexpensive pocket holster and the LCP feels like a wallet to me, I never want to leave it at home. Mine has run 150 rounds of cheap range ammo with no malfunctions of any kind out of the box. A lot of firepower in a tiny, light gun. Love it. Also, Impact's price on the LCP is right-on.

Remarkable!
This baby is remarkably accurate. However, because of its small grip, snappy recoil, and low-profile sights, it is an experts gun -- not suitable for beginers. It makes an excellent backup for experienced shooters who might even find it fun to shoot. Fit and finish are superior to its competitors.
