Walmart to Reduce Gun and Ammunition Sales

The largest retailer in America announced that it will stop selling handgun ammo and certain rifle ammo that is commonly used in "assault-style" weapons. They also announced that they will stop selling handguns in Alaska, the last state where they currently sell handguns, and they are asking customers to no longer openly carry guns into any of their 4,700 stores.

In a memo to employees, Walmart CEO Doug McMillon said in a memo to employees, "It's clear to us that the status quo is unacceptable."
