This year at the 2019 SHOT Show, Franklin Armory announced their Providence rifle and pistol. The Providence is a brand new type of non semi-automatic firearm, which they claim will be 49 state compliant (California pending). It uses their patent pending digital action, which is not semi-automatic yet still fires one round per pull of the trigger.

Production features include:

-No electronics

-Not semi-automatic

-Rotating locking bolt

-Pistol and rifle models

-Trigger pull around 4.5 lbs

-FST M-lok compatible handguards

-49 state legal (California pending)

-Accepts a variety of stocks and braces

-Cleaner - no hot gas gets into the action or receivers

-Safer - no live round in the chamber until the trigger is pulled

-Magazine type convertible - first models will use Glock style magazines

-Caliber convertible. First in 9mm with 10mm, .45 ACP and more coming

-Quieter and suppressor compatible for the ultimate in noise reduction.
