Sig P365SAS: The Perfect CCW Solution For The Real World

The Sig Sauer P365 took the CCW market by storm, and now they've added another version to the lineup. We're welcoming the new handgun with quick holstering and smooth draws. Hello, Sig P365SAS, and welcome to the industry.

What does the SAS designate? SIG Anti Snag. You guessed it. They took one of the best concealed carry handguns and gave her a few more upgrades designed for the serious CCW user who truly understands the value of smoother draws, faster sight acquisition, and more effective engagement at realistic distances.

Sig decided to get rid of the primary snag hazard on all pistols, the beloved front sight. Their incorporation of the FT Bullseye sight embedded into the slide gives the user fiber optics in the daytime, tritium in low light, and allows for a crystal clear high-visibility bullseye picture.

The P365SAS also has a ported barrel and slide which is set in place to reduce muzzle flip by 30%, and prevent zero front sight fouling. 

Looking from the rear of the pistol, the flush slide catch, and takedown levers ensure absolute smoothness and zero snag risk. The slide catch lever is still there, but Sig mentions that it's not used to release the slide. If you're doing an emergency reload, or slide-lock reload you have to slingshot the slide. Since the takedown lever is flush you're required to use a small tool to seat into the grooves to twist the pin.

The Sig P365SAS appears to be another great rendition of the already glorified P365, and seemingly has hit all the marks. If you're looking for a new CCW and you value smooth draws, an almost built in RDS (FT Bullseye), less muzzle flip, and already like the standard P365... then you might have found your next purchase.
