If you are looking a 44 snub nose I hope you already are aware of some of the imperfections of any firearm combining high power and small size. That being said, this is an excellent firearm. The silhouette is approximately the same as a Glock 19 with a 17 round magazine. This makes the 629 PC 22 2.63 inch a perfect compact carry size firearm for fishing, backpacking, hunting, or even everyday use. It fits perfectly in a DeSantis holster for the S&W N frame 3 inch. I imagine the 2.63 inch fits this holster better than the 3 inch, as there is just enough extra room at the bottom of the holster to protect the barrel. I bought the holster model 001BA43Z0. Be aware, everywhere you find this holster online will show a picture of an automatic in a holster. Don't know why but the holster that arrives is formed to the revolver. It took about 15 minutes of work to get the holster broken in. The fit is excellent.
