Magpul PMAG Ranger Plates 3 Pack Black

I used to think these kind of things were just eye candy for ar lovers. But when I started carrying mags in a tactical vest, I saw the need for them right away. Most tac vests have deep carry pockets and trying to two finger a mag out of them is not very fast when you are really needing a quick reload. I added these to my mags and I was able to quickly grab a new mag and reload. I highly recommend these if you carry in a vest or side pocket.

PMAG Ranger Plates are a great addition to any PMAG AR Magazine. Tough and unyielding, they make drawing a magazine from a pouch faster and more secure ? weather for tactical reloading or competition. The plate replaces the standard floor plate in 20 and 30 round PMAG magazines. Built of the same tough polymer as the magazine they are rock solid when slid onto the bottom of the mag. They come in the same colors as the mags ? black, flat dark earth, OD Green, and foliage. You can use one color of magazine, with different color ranger plate to differentiate b/w various ammo loads in your mags ? i.e., black plates for standard FMJ loads, OD for hollow points, flat dark earth for tracers, or some other similar combination. (Just don?t use OD & Foliage to differentiate loads ? depending on the light and the speed of reloading - the colors are too close together to make this safely work.) Once you use PMAGs, you?ll never go back to standard GI mags ever again. I wish I had had these plates in Iraq ? would have worked a lot better than 550 cord and 100-mile-an-hour tape.
