Lever Action Rimfire Perfection
Alright, let's just cut to the chase right here and now. This rifle is awesome! In fact, it's as close to perfect as I have ever experienced in a lever action rifle, regardless of make or caliber. I purchased one of these new Henry rifles late last month and couldn't be happier. This new version of an old standard (Model H001) is full of handy and innovative features not found on other lever action rifles costing more! Where do I begin? It is a carbine length with a 16.25" heavy octagon barrel (think old-school version of a 'bull-barrel'). It also has a large loop for fast and easy cocking, even with heavy gloves. And best of all, are the sights. It has a factory installed 'Skinner' rear peep sight matched perfectly to a front 'post' sight with a brass bead. Ladies and gentlemen, it just doesn't get any better than this... Did I mention the furniture? Classic American Walnut, just as you would expect from a Henry rifle. The action is as smooth as butter. Shouldering this rifle is natural and it's quick to point on target. Mine was accurate right out of the box and was shooting under 2" groups free hand, standing at 50 yards! Easy to rate this gun 5 stars. A must have gun for varmints, predators, etc... Buy one, you simply will not regret it.
